D. Charles Williams, PhD is a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist practicing in Athens, Georgia. He is also an approved supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and an executive coach. He is an approved counselor for Focus on the Family, Northpoint Community Church and Buckhead Community Church both in Atlanta, and the Athens Church in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Williams has also served as the Acting Director for the Genesis Christian Counseling Center in Dunwoody, Georgia.
In 2011, Dr. Williams moved his Atlanta practice of 20 years to Athens, Georgia where he was President of the Athens Area Psychological Association for two consecutive terms from 2012-14.
His previous books include 8 Toughest Problems Parents Face and How to Handle Them with Kent Brand, LCSW and Forever a Father, Always a Son: Discovering the Difference a Dad Can Make. Dr. Williams has written numerous articles on marriage that can be found on his website www.drwilliamscoach.com.
Dr. Williams attended Clemson University, and the University of Florida. He and his wife, Dru-Ann met at Clemson. They live on Lake Hartwell in Georgia and have two adult sons, Christopher and David.
